Since Westside German Shepherd Rescue has not evaluated or ever met the Courtesy Dogs, we can offer no opinion regarding temperament, health or other salient issues, and we are not responsible for any placements. Since people sometimes forget to notify us, some of these dogs may already be adopted.
Crouton
Crouton is an amazing (approximately) 18 month old German Shepherd mix. He would love to become a member of an active, fun family. He is very smart and LOVES to train. He is highly food motivated and has a moderate toy drive. He is very handler focused and biddable. He has learned several things since coming into rescue and knows about 20 different commands. Crouton is confident in new situations and has great manners. He is very friendly with other dogs once introduced, and is working on his leash manners so he doesn't get overly excited when seeing other dogs. He has been introduced briefly to some agility equipment and did great. No cats for him please. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm and fecal negative, and up to date on preventatives. There is an adoption fee for Crouton. Roxy
Meet Roxy, a devoted 5-6 year-old spayed, sable German Shepherd whose loyalty and friendly spirit make her an exceptional companion. Tacoma
Tacoma is a very sweet 8 year old male German Shepard/Husky mix. He absolutely loves his ball and going out for walks. He’s extremely smart, a little too smart for his own good. He’s house trained and great with kids. Although he enjoys playing with some dogs, he would probably be happiest as an only-dog, or with a submissive, easygoing female. Bentley
Meet Bentley, a delightful and lovable mix of cuteness! Whatever breeds he is mixed with, he has the most adorable look with some very impressive ears. He is about 12 months old and weighs 60 pounds. Bentley is neutered, crate trained, potty trained, and knows his basic commands. Bodie
Bodie boy is an incredibly sweet 11-12 month old Shepherd mix. He LOVES to snuggle and endlessly enjoys belly rubs. He is even-tempered and very adaptable, a quick learner, and devoted companion. This handsome guy wants nothing more than to spend his days as your shadow and sidekick. He is kind and gentle with kids and quickly learned the difference between his toys and kids’ toys. In training, he is more praise-driven and has truly enjoyed learning different commands and tricks (sit, down, stay, heal, come, shake, spin, etc.). He has done well with the dogs in his foster home. Bodie has not been cat tested but has shown great care and restraint with a bearded dragon lizard. We have been amazed at his respect for established boundaries and rules. He's very good on a leash but is currently working on his leash manners when encountering other dogs on walks. He’s made great progress in this area but will need continued training. This sweet and goofy pup loves quietly looking out the window at the neighborhood goings-on and is always ready to engage and play with his humans. If you are looking for a forever best friend who will greet you in the morning with the most adorably endearing kisses and are ready to give this angel the connection and affection he deserves Bodie would LOVE to meet you. Maggie
Maggie is a beautiful 3 year old shepherd mix. She is spayed, up to date on shots, good with kids, potty trained, good on a leash (pulls a tiny bit at first, but with a little tug she stops) She absolutely loves going on walks, does well in a car, loves playing tug-o-war, will play fetch with tennis balls and bring the ball back and drop it. She would like to be the only female dog in the home, and can be tested with males to see if she would like one as a buddy.
